Parts Counter Position

West Point is looking for a motivated individual to fill an open position of Parts Counter. The successful candidate must be highly motivated with previous experience. Duties and responsibilities include ascertaining make, year, and type of part needed, inspecting worn, damaged, or defective parts to determine replacement requirements, advising customers of part needed according to malfunction descriptions, discussing the use and features of various parts, reading catalogs, microfiche viewers, or computers for replacement part stock numbers and prices, filling customer orders from stock, preparing sales slips or contracts, receiving payment or obtaining credit authorization, advising customers on substitutions or modifications when replacement is not available, examining returned parts to determine if defective and exchanging parts or refunding money, marking and storing parts in the stockroom according to a prearranged system, receiving and filling telephone orders for parts, taking inventory, determining specific pricing levels for customers based on volume potential, assisting walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggesting companion requirements, offering specials, and ensuring the customer is exposed to the full product line.

Be friendly, professional, and efficient when working with all customers, both on the phone and in person. Must be able to lift up to 100lbs occasionally. Participate in all available training programs. Full benefits.
