Position: Fabric Worker (Tailoring)

Duties

Help

  • Custom tailor complete cadet garments to include full dress coat, dress coat, long overcoat and parka.
  • Construct and fit garments requiring close and accurate fit to the body dimensions of the cadet.
  • Read and interpret garment markings for alterations or repairs.
  • Repair various garments to include such operations as ripping out old stitching, cutting any new pieces of material, lining, stiffening, hand and machine sewing, pressing, shaping and marking for decorations, etc.
  • Operate sewing equipment to construct clothing/garments/apparel/uniform.
  • Work with a wide variety of fabrics and materials.
