* The position provides technical expertise on factual, procedural and/or recurring issues for the command, staff, and subordinate units on personnel actions.
* Serves as a reliable source for interpretation of military regulations, policies, and procedures and how they are applied in order to provide consultation for specific cases or actions.
* Provides services to military personnel who have pay problems, researches pay problems, follows through with the responsible office to alleviate any errors found and coordinates unique requirements.
* Manages the military personnel strength program for the requisitioning of enlisted and officer replacements and filling vacancies within the command through Assignment Interactive Module (AIM.
2) and Integrated Personnel Pay System - Army (IPPS-A).
* Administers, processes, and maintains the MEDDAC Military Awards and Decorations Program.
* As Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) Coordinator oversees military operations systems that support programs concerning the components of the military operations/personnel management life cycle in relation to Soldier readiness for deployment. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
* In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
* Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes processing military personnel actions such as promotions and awards and providing guidance on military personnel actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR
Education:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as:
Human Resources Management. OR Combination of
Education and Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18.
