Facilities Team Member

Perform highly diversified duties in maintenance to help maintain automotive production, process, and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance requirements.

• Address issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, dock & door equipment, HVAC systems, etc
• Maintain the exterior of the facility including parking lots and walkways
• Maintain and repair facility equipment, such as elevators, generators, and fire safety systems
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address equipment issues
• Assist in implementing preventive maintenance programs for critical systems and equipment
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential problems
• Execute work orders for repairs, maintenance, and facility improvements
• Prioritize tasks based on urgency, safety, and operational impact
• Enforce safety protocols and guidelines for all maintenance activities
• Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans for critical facility issues
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations, such as power outages or equipment failures
• Monitor the performance of lighting, HVAC systems, and other energy consuming components
• Communicate effectively with facility occupants, management, and others
• Provide updates on maintenance activities, schedules, and any disruptions
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections (written and electronic)
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Facilities Maintenance team
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains
• Provide excellent customer service to facility occupants, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly
• Seek feedback from facility occupants to enhance quality of service

• Certificate (or degree) in industrial maintenance or related field, or two (2) to five (5) years' experience in industrial maintenance.
• Ability to perform physical and exertional tasks and meet other essential position requirements including social and physical environmental factors.
• Flexibility in working hours including ability to workday, evening and night rotating shifts, daily overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Teamwork oriented.
