Role Overview
Ambulatory Surgery Center RN at Providence Health and Services provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care, managing patient care before, during, and after surgery in coordination with the healthcare team. The RN acts as a patient advocate, ensures safe and effective patient flow, and supports professional nursing standards. The role requires a registered nursing license, BLS certification, and at least one year of nursing experience in a surgical or perioperative setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assume independent responsibility and accountability for primary patient care through the pre/postoperative phases of surgical care.
- Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive care during the peri‑operative phase.
- Coordinate total patient care in collaboration with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
- Act as a patient advocate following the Patients’ Bill of Rights.
- Serve as a liaison among physicians, staff, patients, and families to facilitate safe and effective patient flow.
- Assist in the direction and supervision of nursing and support staff and perform related duties as assigned.
- Accredited nursing program graduation.
- Washington Registered Nurse license upon hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification upon hire.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical or perioperative setting.
The base pay range is $40.90 – $63.49 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
