Your RoleAs Bookkeeper, you’ll oversee internal accounting and financial operations that keep the business moving. You’ll balance precision with practicality—ensuring clean books, timely closes, and clear visibility for leadership. Your work keeps the company compliant, efficient, and ready to scale.
Success in this role looks like- Every account reconciled monthly, with no loose ends
- Payroll, reimbursements, and vendor payments handled on schedule
- Reports delivered clean and on time
- Accounting processes documented and easy to follow
- Manage AP, AR, and monthly bank reconciliations so ledgers always match
- Prepare payroll inputs and process employee reimbursements
- Maintain vendor records, 1099s, and W-2s with accuracy
- Generate monthly P&L and cash-flow reports for leadership review
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and tax preparation
- Keep Quick Books and App Folio data consistent and up-to-date
- Review expense trends and flag outliers before month-end
- Collaborate with property managers to resolve accounting discrepancies
- Document key workflows to ensure process consistency
- 2+ years bookkeeping or small‑business accounting experience
- Strong Quick Books proficiency;
App Folio or similar software a plus - Accuracy, organization, and comfort with detailed reconciliation work
- Clear communication and follow‑through with leadership and vendors
- Familiarity with payroll cycles and accounting documentation
- Ownership mentality—you like seeing the numbers tie out cleanly
- Integrity with confidential data and respect for deadlines
- Property management or trust accounting experience
- Knowledge of vendor payments and owner statement processes
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and multi‑system reporting
Quick Books (core accounting), App Folio (property management & owner statements), Google Workspace (documentation and reporting), and standard online banking portals.
What’s Offered- $48,000–$70,000 USD base salary (based on experience)
- Hybrid schedule: 2–3 days/week in Davis, remainder remote
