The Software tester for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the verification of software data elements for antimicrobial assays and consumable diagnostic products as they are implemented into our clinical software. The data tester is tasked with the writing of tests and maintenance of test results, writing of verification protocols and reports, and testing data tools interfacing with Beckman's LIMS systems.
The data tester will have knowledge of software test practices, good documentation practices, and product development. Similarly, the tester will have a history of verifying/validating tools used in product development, especially in a regulated medical device space.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Work closely with Development Science associates, Software engineers, and Panel Data subject matter experts and other testers to develop well-designed Test Protocols thoroughly covering the scope of software/data requirements.Set up and configure the computers and instruments to execute Test Protocols capturing test results and confirming product and data requirements to help ensure the development and release of new/updated antimicrobial assays in our Software product.Collaborate with data scientists/biostatisticians, microbiologists, and other stakeholders with the goal of verifying/validating various data processing tools.Build upon prior testing modules, procedures, and protocols to develop updated test activities. Use previous and current approaches to find & recommend more streamlined and automated testing approaches.Work as a self-motivated and independent learner in a cross-functional team environment. Will be required to become proficient in knowledge of antimicrobial assays and their implementation into our consumable and software systems.The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science, biological sciences, Chemistry, software engineering, or data science.2+ years tools validation and verification for non-product software integration or 2+ years of experience in software verification testing of customer products, particularly in the medical device industry.3+ years of Python scripting experience.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in/familiarity with:
LIMS systemsFDA Design controls for medical devicesSoftware test best practicesClinical microbiology, familiarity with antimicrobial agents (e.g., antibiotics such as Penicillin)Experience with Dev OpsExperience with Client-ALM (or similar requirements & Test Definition/Tracing management system)#J-18808-Ljbffr
