Box Truck Driver - Day Shift

Job Summary:

Pay: $20.00–$23.00/hour, depending on experience

Schedule:

8:00AM - 6:00PM Monday–Friday, (start time can vary based on customer delivery schedules

Saturday Rotation:
Approximately one Saturday per month, typically 6–8 hours

Full-Time | Local Routes1+ Year 26' Box Truck Driving Experience Required California Sierra Express is hiring an experienced 26' Box Truck Driver for our West Sacramento operation. This is a full-time local driving position performing time-sensitive pickups, deliveries, and freight recoveries throughout the greater Northern California area. Drivers operate 26-foot liftgate box trucks and handle commercial airfreight shipments for domestic and international freight forwarders.

Routes generally require approximately 9–10 hours, depending on freight volume, traffic, customer delivery requirements, and operational needs.

What You’ll DoOperate a 26' liftgate box truck on assigned local pickup and delivery routes

Pick up, deliver, and recover time-sensitive airfreight shipments

Safely load, unload, and secure freight

Use liftgate and material-handling equipment as required

Verify and record freight dimensions and weights

Complete vehicle inspections, daily manifests, and required driver documentation

Provide professional service at customer locations

Follow company safety, DOT, TSA, and OSHA requirements

Maintain dependable and consistent attendance

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle operated

Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience operating a 26' box truck

Experience operating a liftgate box truck strongly preferred

Safe driving record

Ability to safely load and unload freight

Ability to work a Monday–Friday day schedule with variable start times based on customer needs

Availability for approximately one Saturday per month, typically 6–8 hours

Dependable attendance

Ability to meet company, insurance, TSA, background-screening, and applicable drug-testing requirements
