Overview
The Associate Technician - Shipping/Receiving & Distribution is responsible for receiving, shipping, and inventory control for direct and indirect materials. This associate will begin in receiving and will be cross trained in shipping and inventory control duties as staffing requires. We need a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. You will receive materials for manufacturing, perform manual and administrative duties with various ERP and other computer systems, and kit materials to support the manufacturing workflow while maintaining compliance with relevant local, national, and international guidelines.
This position belongs to Microbiology Operating Company nested within Beckman Coulter and is located in West Sacramento, CA. At Microbiology as one of the world s leading /AST companies, our vision is to ensure that every patient has access to the right antibiotic treatment at the right time. You will be an integral part of the Global Marketing team and report to the Materials Manager.
This is a first shift position, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30PM (start and end times somewhat flexible).

Responsibilities- Receive all expensed and production material and work with Incoming Inspections to resolve quality issues
- Maintain kanban locations throughout warehouse and point-of-use locations
- Perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory
- Kit and move product to and from cold and ambient storage locations
- Proactively find and resolve safety and performance issues
- Complete compliance and safety training to schedules
- High school degree (or equivalent degree)
- Able to lift 50lbs infrequently and work in hot warehouse and cold storage environments
- Experience with significant data entry and administrative tasks via MS Office platform and Oracle or similar ERP system
- Forklift experience/license for Standing/Sitting Forklifts and scissor lifts
- 2+ years exp in warehouse or mfg. environment
