Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Rate: $27.54- $32.77 (depending on experience)

Shift Differential Available for 3 pm
-11 pm & 11 pm - 7 am

Shift: Full-Time, Part-Time

Seneca Health Care Center is looking to add a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to its nursing team. In this role, you'll provide high-quality nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and help ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents. RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide nursing care in accordance with resident assessments, care plans, and facility policies

* Administer medications, treatments, enteral feedings, and IV therapies within the LPN scope of practice

* Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to providers, supervisors, and responsible parties

* Accurately document care, treatments, observations, and medication administration

* Supervise and support Nursing Assistants to ensure quality resident care

* Maintain up-to-date resident care information and communicate pertinent information during shift changes

* Follow infection control, safety, resident rights, and confidentiality standards

* Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives

* Assist with admissions, transfers, and other nursing responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

* High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's Degree preferred

* Valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License required

* Current CPR Certification required

* Experience in a skilled nursing facility or with the geriatric population preferred

* Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

* Knowledge of medication administration, infection control, and resident care practices

* Ability to supervise nursing assistants and work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team

* Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
