Qualifications:
* Associates Degree or 48 college credits attained or Workkeys
* Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
* Such alternatives found to be appropriate
* Experience working with children who have social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities a plus.
Duties:
* Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning
* Alert the teacher of any problems or special information about students
* Participate in inservice training programs, as assigned
* Guide independent study, enrichment work and remedial work assigned by the teacher
* Relate to students within the classroom in a manner consistent with the teacher's philosophy in the area of discipline and instruction
* Other duties as may be assigned
* Experience working with special needs students preferred Salary:
To commensurate with the West Springfield Paraprofessional (Unit
D) contract (salary range: $17.67/hr-$22.96/hr)
