Responsibilities- Responsible for supervising/managing all classroom activities
- Effectively communicate with students and families.
- Create plans for daily activities consistent with the district’s curriculum
- Foster a positive and healthy learning environment
- Ensure the classroom is kept clean and safe at all times
- Encourage creative thinking and learning
- Interact with other teachers and administrative staff as needed
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding child development and progress
- Monitor and evaluate students’ progress.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution;
- Massachusetts teacher certifiable in elementary education, grades Pre-K – 2 with and without disabilities
- Ability to work with a diverse population
- Knowledge of inclusive instruction and response to intervention helpful
