To support our expanding operations, we are currently seeking candidates for our West Springfield, Massachusetts site.
JOB SUMMARYThe Engineering Technician Intern provides support to Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams by assisting with documentation updates, engineering support tasks, and basic machine shop.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Updating existing engineering drawings with proper part numbers, drawing numbers, and revision information to support quality control requirements and ISO certification preparation.
- Assisting Electrical Engineering with electrical setup, wiring, documentation, and other electronics-related support tasks.
- Providing general support to the machine shop for basic metalworking, part preparation, and engineering prototype activities.
- Supporting engineering documentation, organization, and other tasks as needed to improve efficiency within the Engineering department.
- Hands-on experience through coursework, lab work, or projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Highly organized, with an ability to efficiently handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a STEM or closely related field.
- Knowledge of mechanical & electrical assemblies.
- Must be capable of working in front of a computer for long periods of time.
- Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Good close-up vision and steady hands to manipulate small components.
