Primary Care Medical Assistant

Overview

The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking a Part Time Primary Care Medical Assistant to join our Park Street Behavioral and Medical Services team in West Springfield, MA. This is a part-time schedule with an 8-hour workday on Fridays only.

The Primary Care Medical Assistant is an integral part of the client’s service team within the Park Street team. You will:

• Use an electronic medical record for chart review and telehealth appointments
• Develop supportive relationships with clients
• Interact with clients to assess needs, obtain vital signs, complete PAs
• Coordinate medical and psychiatric care with clients’ support network (e.g., family members, other service providers)
• Actively collaborate with other agencies to coordinate client treatment
• Liaise with local pharmacies to fill prescriptions for clients’ medications
• Prepare lab requests and obtain results

• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• CPR and First Aid Certificate, preferred
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
• Reliable, registered & insured vehicle and approved driving record check
• Approved criminal background check (CORI)
