Overview
All States Materials Group is a family of companies specializing in Heavy Highway Construction, Manufacturing and Supply of Liquid Asphalts throughout New England. The incumbent will become an integral part of the All States Materials Group IT Department. This department supports a wide variety of technology needs within our large and growing construction and manufacturing companies. This position provides technology support to our local and remote office locations throughout New England for areas including software, hardware, infrastructure, network services, mobile and remote services, audio visual, telephony and security systems.
The incumbent is expected to provide a high level of customer service and to perform each essential function in the most effective and efficient manner possible. Some travel or after business hours and weekend work may be required on an as needed basis.
- Provide a consistent and high level of customer service.
- Maintain clear documentation of tasks performed and steps undertaken.
- The ability to learn new technologies and keep abreast of changing technologies.
- The ability to work independently on projects from start to finish
- Assemble, installs, configures, tests, images, troubleshoot and repair hardware and peripherals, including but not limited to desktop computers, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, fax machines and mobile devices in coordination with and under the supervision senior IT Dept Staff.
- Respond to telephone inquiries, log phone calls, create support tickets and e-mails (provide information, assess problems and offer assistance).
- Serves as a primary point of contact for IT related issues and resolves or escalates issues as appropriate.
- Provides application support for both local users and remote users via remote connection technologies.
- Provides mobile device support for Apple and Android bases systems, set up configuration, device transfers, support and end user training.
- Assists with setup, maintenance and training of A/V systems and Teams Rooms.
- Track and manage IT assets, ensuring proper documentation for equipment usage and location
- Ensures the security of the Firm's systems by understanding the risks and ensuring best practices are followed.
- Travel about 10% of the time with some overnights to training and company facilities.
- Complies with and understands Firm’s operation practices, policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT Support role
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 11 Professional; familiarity with other Microsoft products a plus
- Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to document and follow procedures
- Ability to research technical topics and apply findings in practice
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
