The Injection Molding Operating Technician is responsible for preparation, mold set-up and removal, starting and running manufacturing equipment under the guidance of the Production Shift Leader. Accountabilities also include ensuring that jobs meet quality specifications, manufacturing standards and that safety procedures are followed while working to continuously improve quality and productivity of manufacturing operations and the ability to train others. Must be available to train on first shift for 3 - 6 months.
EssentialAccountabilities Machine Operation
- Injection molding experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read, write and speak English to meet training, safety and quality requirements.
- Ability to move from daily job to job in a fast pace environment.
- Ability to safely use hand tools.
- Experience operating injection molding machines, robots, and related manufacturing equipment.
- Organization and time management.
- Computer and software skills.
- Knowledge of quality control principles and Statistical Process Control.
- Ability to drive motorized vehicles including forklifts and elevated platforms.
- History of working safely including safety training, LOTO and PPE use.
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to interact with a variety of people.
- Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.

Good Manufacturing Procedures/American Institute of Bakers certified manufacturing environment/FDA/HACCP.
Injection molding equipment and robotic automation, computers, controls, measurement equipment, power tools, hand tools, pallet jacks, personal computer, Oracle, Infinity, EAM.
Physical RequirementsLight work (lift 10 lbs): continuously – cases of product and hand tools. Medium work (lift 11-30 lbs.): regularly – cases of product and pallets (3-4 times per shift). Heavy work (lift 31-50 lbs.): occasionally – (one to two times per shift): cases of product and pallets.
Mental RequirementsBending, stooping, climbing, reaching, twisting, standing for long periods of time. Reading, writing, calculating, interpersonal skills, reasoning/analysis, works with minimal supervision.
