Position Overview:
A regular, full‑time Machine Operator for the Butter Churn operation on the 3rd shift (11 pm–7 am). The operator will run the churn, maintain sanitary conditions, perform Clean in Place (CIP) washing, and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
- Operate the butter churn effectively and efficiently to meet production requirements.
- Perform CIP washing of equipment and clean walls, floors, ceilings, light fixtures, drains and other environmental areas.
- Follow safety procedures, lock‑out/tag‑out, and all food‑industry regulations.
- Adapt to schedule flexibility, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and shift rotation as required.
- Work effectively in a multi‑tasking environment with minimum supervision.
- Detail oriented and able to resolve standardized problems professionally.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to read and understand instructions and manuals.
- Basic computer skills and numerical competency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude; able to support a team environment.
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions given in written, oral or diagram form.
- Uphold ethical standards, treat people with respect, keep commitments, and act as a steward of the environment.
- Minimum high school diploma, GED, or HiSET.
- Preferred experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment; experience in the food industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety requirements and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 70 lbs and handling of objects weighing more than 100 lbs.
- Physical risks such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
Compensation: $29.29 /hr – $31.14 /hr plus a 10% shift differential for 3rd shift.
