Job Description
Position:
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports plasma center operations.
- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in SOPs and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, develop Center Physician’s standing orders, and coordinate donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings and medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER; refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
- Serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community.
- High school diploma or graduate certificate from a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified as an LPN or LVN in the state of assignment.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Successful completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

The estimated hourly wage range for this position is $26.88 – $36.96, depending on qualifications and experience.
