Plasma Center Nurse - LPN

Job Description

The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports the daily operations of a Plasma Donation Center under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician. The role focuses on donor eligibility assessment, management of donor adverse events, review of laboratory results, and providing safe and compliant plasma collection services.

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent management, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) review.
• Evaluate donor reactions at the facility and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including transporting donors to emergency care when necessary.
• Reference the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings requiring medical or technical guidance and for donor safety and eligibility determinations.
• Support employee vaccination programs for Hepatitis B and seasonal influenza.
• Manage employee incidents and determine the need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER, adhering to EHS guidance.
• Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of local pandemic threats.

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate degree from a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities are assigned.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfillment of state basic IV therapy requirements.
• Completion of FDA‑approved training for the Bio Life Medical Support Specialist role.
• At least two years of clinical or hospital experience.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $26.88 – $36.96. The actual wage will depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, and location while complying with state or local minimum wage requirements.
