Job DescriptionExcellent opportunity for a LICENCED RN to manage health care services of students with multiple disabilities.
The primary responsibility of the School Nurse is to manage school health care services as outlined by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health
Provide nursing services to students at the LPVEC Special Education Students in our Ludlow Campus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (Other duties may be assigned)- Provide and supervise medically prescribed interventions, including medication, First Aid, CPR, and triage in accordance with IHCPs, prescriptions, standard nursing practice, state and federal laws and regulation
- To distribute, collect and submit all required paperwork for students and teachers in a timely manner
- To serve as a role model for students and staff in demonstrating positive attitude, appropriate attire and grooming, and an effective work ethic
- To participate in staff meetings and professional development activities and to be responsible for attending other meetings which might be called after school hours
- Demonstrated ability to professionally interact with students, parents, teachers and school administrators and staff
- Demonstrated ability to professionally interact with related business, industry, and public agency personnel
- Accompany students on buses, during field trips and administer necessary medications and First Aid as needed
- * Valid RN license
- * Current CPR and First Aid certification
- * Strong interpersonal skills
- * Experience in a school setting preferred
- * At least 2 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- * Regular and punctual attendance
- At least 2 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
