About the Role:
The Inventory Manager leads all back-of-house inventory operations, overseeing the secure and organized management of the dispensary's vault. This role is responsible for the intake and verification of incoming deliveries, accurate recording and organization of product and data, and fulfillment of customer orders. The Inventory Manager works in close partnership with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to ensure seamless inventory flow and operational efficiency, adhering to established protocols and compliance standards throughout the retail operation.
The ideal candidate for this role brings proven experience in inventory management or a related field, with a strong track record of maintaining accurate stock levels and optimizing inventory workflows. Success in this position requires exceptional organizational and planning abilities, proficiency with inventory management systems, and keen attention to detail. While experience in cannabis inventory management is a plus, it is not a requirement.
Primary Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:
- Design inventory protocols and systems to ensure compliance with cannabis regulations
- Ensure the efficient flow of inventory to the customer from intake to the register
- Organize the vault
- Develop inventory tracking systems
- Conduct daily assessments of inventory levels and accuracy of product in the vault
- Examine supply levels and coordinate with the purchasing manager to ensure the optimal stock of the product

- Work with the purchasing manager to understand new products for purchase, inventory breakdowns, and demand and spatial planning
- Prepare reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments
- Manage inventory team employees, including the recruitment and training of new employees
- Ensure the accuracy of pricing and all other information necessary for compliance with state cannabis regulations
- Input data into POS system
- See that data and information ports correctly to online menus
- Must be 21 years of age or older per the requirement set by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission
- Broad experience in inventory management or related field
- BS/BA in business administration, logistics or related field
- Experience managing inventory teams
- Prior experience working in a fast paced, customer focused retail environment is advantageous
- Bilingual or proficiency in Spanish is beneficial
- Flexibility regarding work schedule
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts, including scheduled opening and closing shifts, is required.
- Knowledge about cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods is preferred
- Cannabis market experience is valuable but not required
- Ability to pass a Federal Background Check with no felony convictions
