Job Type: Full-Time Permanent (40 hrs per week)

Salary: $81,435.95 – $ annually, based on experience.

What You’ll Do

As the Controller, you will support strong financial operations and help ensure compliance, accuracy, and accountability across the RM.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily accounting activities, including payables, receivables, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, month end and year end closing
• Produce accurate financial statements and management reports in accordance with
• Support the annual audit and budget processes, including variance analysis and
• Strengthen internal controls, ensure compliance with The Municipal Act, and support financial system improvements.

• A degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA designation or active pursuit
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a municipal or public-sector
• Strong knowledge of PSAS, municipal accounting standards, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit preparation.
• Proficiency with municipal accounting software (e.g., Munisoft), Microsoft Excel, and modern financial systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with proven accuracy, integrity, and discretion in handling financial
