The Talent Acquisition Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the organization has the systems and processes needed to execute talent management strategies and deliver a full-cycle recruiting experience—from sourcing and attracting candidates to recruiting, selecting, and onboarding top talent.
As a key member of Patterson's dynamic Talent team, this position helps design, integrate, and implement programs and processes aligned with the broader HR strategy. The role partners closely with business leaders and HR colleagues to understand organizational talent needs and deliver effective solutions. Responsibilities include leading team development, providing coaching and mentoring, managing workload allocation, and driving reporting and analysis to support informed decision-making.
Essential Functions
- Ensure alignment between talent acquisition strategies and business objectives by partnering with stakeholders to understand key talent needs and value propositions, resulting in a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates
- Drive data-informed decision-making by leveraging Workday to establish quality metrics and maintain a Talent Acquisition Scorecard, enabling continuous improvement and measurable success in hiring outcomes
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies that optimize job postings, marketing channels, and campaigns, ensuring timely fulfillment of talent needs and improved candidate experience
- Provide expert consulting on talent management best practices to business units, enhancing HR capability and promoting diversity and inclusion throughout the hiring process
- Act as a strategic liaison between business units and Centers of Excellence to ensure alignment and deliver organizational effectiveness initiatives that support long-term talent goals
- Design and implement talent management metrics and analyze ATS data to recommend strategies that strengthen the talent pipeline and improve recruitment efficiency
- Build and maintain relationships with third-party recruitment agencies, managing procurement and performance to ensure cost-effective and high-quality talent acquisition
- Evaluate and recommend assessment tools for selection and development, improving the accuracy and fairness of hiring decisions
- Develop and manage the talent acquisition and assessment budget to optimize resource allocation and deliver cost-effective hiring solutions
- Lead strategic talent initiatives—including diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, employer branding, and academic outreach—to enhance organizational reputation and attract top talent
- Comply with Company and department policies and standards; performs other duties as assigned
People Management
- Accountable for team staffing and managing direct reports to include development, performance management, goal setting, and other managerial duties
- Ensures direct reports are aware of and follow ethical business practices and Company’s Code of Conduct to maintain a supportive and productive working environment.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent education and/or experience
- 6 years experience in Talent Acquisition
- 2 years of leadership/people management experience
Preferred Requirements
- Experience working with Workday
- Analytics/reporting experience
Skills and Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of recruitment, assessment, screening, interviewing, and referral processes and employment law
- Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems
- Ability to work with and influence all levels of management within the organization
