Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager in Salt Lake City, UT. Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations for a growing business unit within a fast-paced and evolving environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the accounting function, driving process improvements, ensuring strong financial controls, and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting. The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a growing organization while contributing to future business expansion initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- The Accounting Manager will direct and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions while maintaining compliance with established accounting policies and internal controls
- Ensure account reconciliations are completed accurately and within required deadlines
- Partner with internal and external auditors during audit engagements and compliance reviews
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development support to accounting team members
- Collaborate across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and close processes
- Evaluate existing workflows and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- As an Accounting Manager, you will support financial reporting requirements and other accounting initiatives as business needs evolve
- Participate in the integration and support of future business growth, acquisitions, or new revenue streams as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for accounting operations
- Experience working within a public company environment strongly preferred
- Experience working with large-scale ERP systems;
Oracle experience is highly preferred - Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
- Strong attention to detail with sound business judgment and problem-solving capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Preferred
- CPA certification
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience managing accounting staff
- Experience supporting audits, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives
- Background working within a growing or rapidly changing business environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
