Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a Contract position based in West Valley City.

Responsibilities:

- Manage routine bookkeeping activities by recording financial transactions accurately and maintaining up-to-date accounting records.

- Process accounts payable by reviewing invoices, preparing payments, and keeping vendor records organized.

- Oversee accounts receivable activities, including issuing invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, and supporting timely collections.

- Perform bank and account reconciliations to confirm that financial data matches supporting documentation and statements.

- Use Quick Books to enter, track, and maintain financial information with a high level of accuracy.

- Review accounting entries for completeness and consistency to help support reliable financial reporting.

- Assist with resolving discrepancies in payments, receipts, and account balances in a timely manner.

Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a closely related accounting support role.

- Hands-on experience using Quick Books for daily bookkeeping functions.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate financial records.

- Ability to organize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow established accounting procedures.

- Comfortable reviewing transaction data and identifying discrepancies for follow-up and correction.
