Job Summary / Basic FunctionThe Vice President for Student Access & Success Office has an opening for an office aide to perform clerical duties. Successful candidate will: staff the front desk and greet those visiting the office, answer the multi-line phone, run errands on campus, inventory and other office supplies, file, prepare and send mailings, photocopy. Other responsibilities include preparing a newsletter, updating the division contact list, general office upkeep and other duties assigned by the office staff.
Applicants may assist with set up or other event tasks. The work hours are Monday through Friday, generally from 1pm to 5pm, but are flexible to meet class schedules and the office aid’s responsibilities on campus.
High school degree. Seeking applicants with the following skills and abilities: confidentiality is essential, punctual and self starter; customer service oriented; ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines; detail oriented; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work independently; ability to interface effectively with a diverse clientele. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel primarily) and Google Suite.
Proficiency or familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Sign and Spark; and online databases.

Ability to receive detailed information with or without assistance. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Physical Requirements of this position:
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or consistently to move objects, including the human body. Sitting most of the time. Walking and standing only occasionally if ever.
Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision. Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position. None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
