Position Summary:

Communications Officers II perform 911 call-taking and public safety dispatch functions. Responsibilities include answering, evaluating, prioritizing, documenting and routing emergency and non-emergency calls; coordinating resources; and communicating critical information to police, fire and emergency medical responders. The position uses telephone, radio, Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and related systems while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism in a continuous 24-hour operation.
