This position may assist entry-level team members as needed. Primary Responsibilities
- Apply broad architectural design knowledge to support plan development, revisions, and documentation.
- Work under moderate supervision to meet operational, functional, and business goals with moderate impact on team results.
- Prepare, update, and maintain architectural drawings, specifications, and related materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established design standards.
- Influence others within the team through explanation of facts, policies, and design practices.
- Solve difficult problems by drawing on prior experience and conducting analysis of issues.
- Identify when problems require understanding of adjacent job areas and elevate appropriately.
- Provide guidance and assistance to entry-level professionals and support staff.
- Support design quality control processes, file management, and documentation accuracy.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, tools, and documentation standards.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant architectural design or drafting experience, or equivalent (e.g., 6-8 years total experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, design, drafting, or a related field
- Experience supporting architectural design documentation or production activities
- Experience working within a team-based architectural or design environment
- Additional experience supporting architectural design in a homebuilding or construction environment
- Knowledge of architectural documentation standards and design workflows
- Experience using architectural design or CAD software platforms
- Proficiency in architectural drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
- Knowledge of residential construction terminology and building practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
