Assistant / Assistant of Early Childhood Education

Your main duties will include:

• Identifying the needs of each child and providing individual and group care (diaper changes, meals, sleep, etc.)
• Welcoming the child and their family daily (communications), supporting and accompanying them in their parental role (adaptations, special appointments, buffets, meetings)
• Performing technical tasks while respecting hygiene rules and the establishment's protocols
• Applying and adhering to the educational project of the section
• Evaluating your professional action daily and annually
• Observing the child and identifying data related to their development

Specific activities:

• Analyzing observations (including signs of child distress) in collaboration with the team and psychologist
• Training of trainees based on seniority

Skills:

• Knowledge of communication techniques with adults and children (verbalization, non-verbal language)
• Correct oral and written communication (life books, communications, observation booklets)
• Observation techniques
• Participation in medical visits for reference children
• Knowledge of the structure's protocols (medical, nap, diaper change, etc.)
• Knowledge of child physical development and psychology
• Principles of children's and adults' personal hygiene
• Educational project and pedagogical project
• Knowledge of the welcome booklet for trainees and the trainee welcome charter

Attached to the Department of Childhood and Youth, and under the authority of the Director of the Collective Nursery, the nursery agent with a CAP Early Childhood Education or CAP AEPE has the mission to participate in the reception and care of a child aged 0 to 4 years and their family, in their daily collective life; in accordance with the pedagogical project of the structure, in collaboration with a team.
