Adventures Traveling Guide - Utah County & South Salt Lake Valley About Williamsburg Learning

Williamsburg Learning Academy is a full-time online program serving students in grades 6-12, designed to provide a flexible, high-quality education centered on purpose, leadership, and meaningful growth. As part of the Williamsburg Learning network, it delivers an award-winning curriculum used by partner schools nationwide, including tuition-free public school options in states like Utah.

Learning is both rigorous and flexible. Students engage in live, mentor-led classes alongside independent coursework, allowing them to take ownership of their education while receiving consistent guidance. Mentors do more than teach—they help students think critically, engage in discussion, and develop clarity in their ideas.

The program emphasizes learning how to think, not what to think, using discussion-based instruction, classic texts, and engaging content that fosters curiosity and intellectual growth. This is paired with a strong focus on leadership and personal development.

A defining feature of the experience is the balance between online learning and real-world connection. Through in-person "Adventures" and community experiences, students build relationships, explore new environments, and apply their learning in meaningful ways.

Everything is rooted in the mission to prepare promising students for meaningful lives as principled leaders-equipping them to become thoughtful, capable contributors both in school and beyond.

  • Guide students through activities, lead discussions, take attendance, and support games and programming
  • Arrive 30 minutes prior to each event and assist with setup, cleanup, and equipment care
  • Support adventures typically held between 9:00 AM-3:00 PM and lasting 2-5 hours
