Bosch Building Technologies Integrator Business

The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects. Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch’s role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Climatec is recognized in the building industry as an independent single-source integrator of critical building systems including energy services, building automation and security & life safety in the U.S. market.

The company provides consulting, planning, implementation and 24/7 remote management. Climatec operates in data centers, commercial real estate, and federal, state, and local government. Climatec represents and integrates numerous leading manufacturers’ product lines across its services, including Bosch products. In 2023, Bosch acquired Canadian-based security integrator Paladin Technologies. Merging Paladin Technologies and Climatec expanded Bosch’s Integrator Business in North America.

Today the combined entity of Bosch Building Technologies (previously Climatec and Paladin Technologies) represents over $800M in revenues and 2800 associates.

This Technician II position will provide efficient and high-quality installations related to integrated security systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing startup, installation, closeout and service of jobs; assisting in design and other tasks as assigned while delivering on Bosch Building Technologies commitments.

• Installs, terminates and tests equipment as per specifications and in conjunction with building and electrical codes.
• Responsible for training apprentices on company procedures, systems, and installation techniques.
• Work with Field Engineers on startup to ensure complete system compliance.
• Daily communications with Installation Supervisor on delays, requirements, and status of jobs to ensure delivery of the project.
• Work with Installation Supervisors to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and service department.
• Repair, restore and test all systems per specifications and with applicable codes.
• Accurate written record keeping, submitted on time and complete.
• Maintain professional licensing as required by state and local jurisdictions.
• Support, lead, and mentor team members.
• Design systems and layout.
• Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism.
• Lead projects at a site level, manage a team of junior technicians as necessary.

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• CCTV and Access control experience.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
• Minimum 2 years working in electronics with daily use of AC/DC theory.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics (evidenced by 1 year of experience).
• Basic computer skills including MS Office Suite (evidenced by 1 year of experience).
• Aptitude for learning system programming (evidenced by 1 year of experience).
