This is ahands-on Health & Safety position where you’ll be out on site, building relationships, supporting teams, and making safety work in the real world — not just on paper.
You’ll support multiple sites, working closely with managers and technicians to ensure risks are understood, managed, and controlled.
Responsibilities- Supporting site teams with practical health & safety advice
- Conducting site visits, inspections, and audits
- Identifying risks and implementing safe systems of work
- Supporting incident & near-miss investigations (including RIDDOR)
- Promoting a positive safety culture (not a tick-box one)
- Assisting with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
- Encouraging proactive behaviours (housekeeping, reporting, etc.)
- Supporting environmental compliance (waste, chemicals, etc.)
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence & willingness to travel
- Experience in amulti-site, operational environment
- Strong understanding of:
- Risk assessments
- Safe systems of work
- Incident investigation
- Confident communicator — able to engage with all levels
- Practical, hands-on approach (not overly corporate)
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload
- Experience with in automotive, engineering, or workshop environment sis a big plus.
