Job Duties- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on new product development and improvement projects across all 3form material, hardware, and lighting product lines.
- Assist in exploring technologies, concepts, and innovative products within the R&D team.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement and problem‑solving applications.
- Provide technical product expertise for existing platforms to support the sales team and internal partners.
- Contribute to infrastructure improvement efforts within the Product Development Team.
- Maintain design specifications, CAD models, testing data, CTQs, and documentation for finished products and raw materials.
- Develop product standards, quality specifications, and process controls for new products.
- Identify tooling, equipment, and infrastructure needs for product development and material characterization.
- Develop test methods and execute prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
- Collect, analyze, and document product performance data to support validation and align with defined CTQs.
- Support 3form’s sustainability mission by identifying and developing sustainable product opportunities.
- Design components utilizing various manufacturing technologies.
- Work closely with vendors and purchasing to source prototypes and inventory products.
- Manage projects and timelines from conceptual ideas to completed, documented, and ready‑to‑sell products.
- Lead the installation and testing of products in development.
- Work independently while maintaining momentum on projects, ensuring project milestones and deliverables are achieved on time.
- Adapt quickly to compressed timelines and changing priorities, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
- Maintain a proactive approach to project management, adjusting plans to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to drive creative solutions and deliver on‑time results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Material Science Engineering (or related engineering fields).
- 2‑4 years of professional experience in product design, polymer characterization, and development of architectural components or systems.
- Strong design sensibility, creative talent, and technical curiosity.
- Hands‑on development, prototyping, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound understanding of structural mechanical design and manufacturing techniques.
- Proficiency in Solid Works; knowledge of Rhino 3D and Adobe CC is a plus.
- Comfortable with data sets and analysis (Tableau, Power
BI, Excel). - Ability to work well in a small team environment and adapt to a dynamic company culture.
