In this role, you will lead FWT, installation, commissioning, testing, and handover activities on-site, acting as the single point of contact for the customer. Each day, you will manage on-site presence throughout the project, ensuring coordination and smooth execution of all work activities. You will showcase your expertise by planning, scheduling, and coordinating service resources based on guidelines.
The work model for the role is onsite at the client site in UT.
This role contributes to the Motion High Power Division.
- All on‑site activities and acting as the interface to customer and/or third‑party installation and commissioning team.
- Leading all discussions and meetings on‑site, proposing appropriate resolutions to customer’s concerns while ensuring ABB guidelines, team objectives, and sales goals are met.
- Setting up and maintaining a service desk and evaluating its efficiency.
- Handling customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally, in alignment with the Service Quality Manager to maintain good customer relationships and ensure repeat customers.

Qualifications for the Role- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or equivalent technical degree.
- 10+ years relevant experience in medium‑voltage drives, motors, power electronics, commissioning, field service, or similar functions with a focus on the ACS 8080 platform.
- Strong technical knowledge of drive systems and associated equipment (motors, MCPs, transformers, switch gear).
- Proven experience in commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and operation of drive systems.
- Exceptional customer‑facing communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a production‑facility environment.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
