J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. is hiring a Project Designer (Engineer-in-Training) for our St. George, Utah office. The role focuses on planning, designing, and permitting a wide variety of surface transportation projects for local agencies and State DOTs, including projects funded by both local and federal aid.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to develop transportation projects.
• Operate CAD (Micro Station/Open Roads Designer) to produce alignments, models, and plans.
• Prepare engineering documents such as project plans, cost estimates, construction drawings, technical specifications, and feasibility studies.
• Assist in business development by building client relationships and producing quality work.
• Attend client and public meetings to discuss project details and inform stakeholders.
• Coordinate with utility companies and perform periodic fieldwork including construction observation and reconnaissance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Certification as Engineer-in-Training (EIT) – successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
• 0–5 years of transportation engineering experience (desired).
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to high‑quality deliverables.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Experience with Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) projects is a plus.

• Proficiency in Micro Station/Open Roads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• 1–5 years of experience as a civil design professional.

Salary: $72,000 – $90,000 per year, based on experience.
