At Northrop Grumman, employees work on cutting‑edge systems that have a global impact. This role supports the Sentinel Command and Launch Systems Integration Lab (CSIL), overseeing design, development, and implementation of new lab capabilities.
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee lab operations teams.
- Develop, prepare, and execute lab stand‑up and operations to support comprehensive tests and segment‑level testing schedules.
- Synthesize customer contractual needs into lab architecture solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints.
- Coordinate integration and testing activities in a dynamic, people‑focused environment.
- Develop lab schedules and budgets, ensure process compliance, and integrate hardware and software units.
- Coordinate with support homerooms, forecast resources, and ensure proper staffing to execute the SOW.
- Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of lab capital projects, and provide inputs to yearly capital plans and long‑range strategic planning.
- Drive lab technical and process rigor, ensuring compliance with program, division and company requirements.
- Maintain accurate lab and lab network configurations.
- Track leading‑indicator technical metrics to detect and prevent issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align lab requirements with product/test team needs.
- Ensure laboratory assets, tools, and cybersecurity compliance are available for formal testing.
- Coordinate lab status, issues, and solutions with CS Hardware IPT labs.
- Continuously improve lab integration and test engineering rigor and efficiency.
- Review Change Requests for lab cost and schedule impacts.
- Support proposal activities.
- Facilitate and execute the performance‑management cycle for direct reports (goals, reviews, performance evaluations, and compensation discussions).
- Promote professional development of the test‑engineering workforce and foster a collaborative culture that sustains employee engagement, inclusion, affordability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate time‑charging and time‑card approvals.
- Resolve conflicts, manage performance issues, and implement improvement plans.
- Bachelor’s degree and 8years of related experience; or Master’s degree and 6years, or 4years in lieu of a degree.
- Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance (current and within scope); ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in Systems Integration Lab design, development, operations, lab network administration, test planning, and execution.
- DoD
8570 certification at IAT LevelII or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA). - Experience leading projects and driving performance against a schedule.
- Experience integrating hardware and software components in a lab/ground test environment.
- Familiarity with lab electrical and network designs.
- U.S. citizenship with an active DoD Top Secret clearance (investigated within the past 5 years).
- Previous management experience.
- Knowledge of systems engineering, test, and lab-operations principles and processes.
- DoD
8570 certification at IAT LevelII or higher. - Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and customers.
- Experience in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of Model‑Based System Engineering and understanding of DODAF and SysML.
- Experience in test automation (development and execution).
- Knowledge and use of instrumentation and data‑acquisition systems.

Primary level salary range: $ – $. Base pay may vary based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may be available. Annual bonuses award individual contributions and company results. Directors and VPs may be eligible for long‑term incentives.
Standard work schedule: 9/80 (nine‑hour days Monday through Thursday, every other Friday off).
