Our client, a major PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Services) entity owned by 20 non-profit health plans serving >33 million members and benefits manager of government programs including Medicare and Medicaid, seeks an accomplished Pharmacist
.

DURATION: 12 months assignment with possible extension or conversion.

• The Pharmacist I will be responsible for dispensing prescription medications and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals.
• This role supports pharmacy operations by reviewing physician orders, verifying medication accuracy, counseling patients, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• The position is critical to maintaining workflow stability during overlapping long-term staff leaves and offers potential for temp-to-hire conversion.
• Review and interpret physician orders for accuracy and therapeutic appropriateness.
• Prepare and dispense medications through compounding, packaging, and labeling.
• Monitor drug therapies and recommend clinical interventions as needed.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and verify their work, including order entry and labeling.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Respond to inquiries from healthcare professionals regarding pharmacological information.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations (BOP, DEA, FDA).
• Maintain accurate records for controlled substances and remove outdated or damaged inventory.
• Support infection‑control protocols and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Participate in training and development of pharmacy staff, interns, and students.
• Stay current with pharmaceutical knowledge, legislation, and best practices.

  D or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• Active and valid Utah Pharmacist license (in good standing)
• Ability to obtain and maintain licensure in Nevada if required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge.
• Candidate must have 2-5 years of Pharmacist experience.
• Prior experience in high-volume or operational pharmacy settings
• Experience working with pharmacy technicians and workflow management
