Journeyman Technical Writer - ASRC Federal

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and maintain user guides, system manuals, and interface documentation for the A‑10 Operational Flight Program.
• Collaborate with software engineers, equipment specialists, and program managers to gather technical information and verify accuracy.
• Ensure documentation complies with DoD standards, configuration management procedures, and contract requirements.
• Maintain version control of all deliverables using tools such as IBM DOORS, SharePoint, or equivalent.
• Conduct peer reviews and incorporate feedback to improve clarity and usability of technical content.

• Minimum 3 years of experience producing technical documentation for aerospace or defense software projects.
• Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Frame Maker, DOORS) and familiarity with configuration management processes.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise language for diverse audiences.
• Experience working in a team environment with engineers and subject‑matter experts, preferably on real‑time or mission‑critical systems.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain any required security clearance.
