Vice President, Employee Experience Technology About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a large, growing financial services organization headquartered in Utah to identify a Vice President of Employee Experience Technology.

With more than $20 billion in assets, over 1 million members/customers, and several thousand employees, the organization operates at significant scale and continues to invest in technology, digital transformation, and the employee experience.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping the future of employee-facing technology across the enterprise. The VP will own the strategy and roadmap for the HR technology ecosystem, partnering closely with HR, IT, Data, Security, Architecture, and business leadership to create a more connected, intuitive, and modern employee experience.

This is not simply an HRIS leadership role. We’re looking for someone who can think broadly across technology, product, architecture, data, AI, and employee experience while leading a team and influencing at the executive level.

• Develop and lead the enterprise Employee Experience Technology strategy and multi-year roadmap
• Provide strategic leadership across the HR technology ecosystem, including Workday and integrated platforms
• Establish and mature a product management approach for employee-facing technology
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and digital tools to improve the employee experience
• Partner across HR, IT, Data, Cybersecurity, and Architecture to ensure platforms are scalable, secure, and well integrated
• Drive modernization, simplification, and continuous improvement across employee technology
• Establish appropriate governance around AI, data privacy, security, and responsible technology use
• Lead, develop, and empower a team of technology and product professionals
• Build strong relationships with senior executives and translate business and workforce needs into technology strategy

• 10+ years of progressive experience leading significant technology initiatives
• 5+ years of experience in product management or product leadership
• 5+ years leading technology, product, or enterprise systems teams
• Significant experience developing and executing enterprise technology strategies and roadmaps
• Direct experience working with Workday is required
• Strong understanding of HR technology ecosystems and integrations
• Experience leading large-scale technology transformation within a complex organization
• Understanding of enterprise architecture, integrations, data, and technology governance
• Practical knowledge of AI and emerging technologies, including opportunities and risks within the employee and HR technology space
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across HR, technology, and business leadership
• A leadership style that balances strategic direction with enough technical depth to effectively guide teams and challenge assumptions

Experience with Workday is a requirement for this position. Candidates should have direct experience working with Workday within a complex organizational environment and understand how it fits within a broader employee technology ecosystem.

The organization is headquartered in Utah, and this role will work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders based there.

For the right candidate, the role may also be performed remotely from Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, or New Mexico
. Remote candidates must be comfortable with regular travel to Utah.

Relocation assistance is available for candidates outside of these states who are interested in relocating to Utah.
