OverviewKilgore, a Summit Material company, is looking for a maintenance mechanic supervisor. This position is responsible for managing our crews handling maintenance, mechanical repair and troubleshooting of our various aggregate plants throught the Salt Lake and Utah Valley ares.
- Responsible for managing, directing and controlling maintenance operations for an assigned region with using FIIX
- Accountable for all maintenance activities including preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment repairs and installations to ensure maximum uptime and productivity
- Responsible for preventative, predictive and corrective plant equipment maintenance
- Reviews operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate problems and to identify opportunities for improvement
- Looks for ways to improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs
- Establishes and maintains preventative maintenance operating procedures and programs
- Oversee special project construction or production addition
- Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, PM, compliance, schedule compliance, etc
- Provides guidance, planning, administration and direction to maintenance employees and outside trade vendors
Skills & Experience - Responsible for submitting Time Cards in a timely manner
- Maintenance activities including preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment repairs and installations to ensure maximum uptime and productivity
- Responsible for optimizing maintenance costs
- Responsible for preventative, predictive and corrective plant equipment maintenance Reviews operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate problems and to identify opportunities for improvement
- Looks for ways to improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs
- Additional duties as assigned
- Able to manage multiple job sites within Utah County
- Previous welding experience
- Team building
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- General knowledge of working around large aggregate mines, and equipment
- Candidates must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment, exposed to weather elements, some noise; must have ability to work independently and problem-solve while working alone or as part of a team
- Great attention to detail and have a high stress tolerance
