The Shop Supervisor supports branch operations by training and managing heavy equipment mechanics, yard workers and utility workers, ensuring timely and high-quality service calls, and maintaining equipment standards.

• Develop consistent, regular schedules for mechanics and yard technicians to perform maintenance on heavy equipment and construction machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
• Operate equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, generators, hydraulics, pumps, and assorted tools.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with customers.
• Audit required documentation, timesheets, checklists, receiving records, repair orders, and maintenance logs in a timely manner.
• Manage and order parts for equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist mechanics with other duties and general service record keeping.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Own a general mechanic’s tool set capable of supporting a heavy equipment fleet and be willing to expand personal tool collection.

• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate large, heavy machinery.
• Ability to read and comprehend operating procedures, owner’s manuals and product/warning labels.
• Customer service and solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer service orientation and basic computer operations.
• Understanding of time management, standards of operating procedures, and product/warning labels.
