The Role:Your Path to CEO
The Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) is a high-stakes, transitional leadership role. You aren’t just looking for a deal; you are looking for the company you will lead for the next 10+ years.
- Phase 1 (The Hunt):
You will spend 6–12 months embedded in our M&A engine, sourcing and diligencing companies with $5M–$100M in ARR. - Phase 2 (The Operation):
Upon closing, you will transition into the role of General Manager or CEO of the acquired company, executing the Solen Playbook.
- Deal Sourcing & Founder Discovery:
Partner with the Corporate Development team to build a pipeline. Lead high-candor discovery calls with founders to understand their legacy and transition needs. - Diligence & Underwriting:
Own the 'Operational Diligence.' You aren't just looking at the P&L; you are looking for technical debt, churn triggers, and 'low-hanging fruit' in sales and marketing. - The Solen Playbook:
Master our internal operating rhythms (EOS, L10s, Rocks, and Scorecards). You will learn how we run 'Sales Masterminds' and digital transformations. - Post-Acquisition Leadership:
Take over the 'Captain’s Seat.' You will lead the team through the transition, preserve the culture, and implement Solen’s growth frameworks to achieve operational excellence.
- Relentlessly Resourceful:
You have a high 'failure tolerance.' When a door closes, you find a window or build a new one. - High Agency:
You don’t wait for a manual. You are a 'Learn-it-all' who proactively seeks the 'Solen standard' for every task. - Operationally Proven: 7+ years of experience in SaaS, enterprise sales, or general management. P&L Ownership - You understand the 'unit economics' of software (LTV, CAC, Churn).
- Humble & Candid:
You practice 'radical candor.' You are openly self-critical and prioritize the mission and the team over personal ego. - Completionist:
You exhibit 'stick-to-it-iveness.' You finish what you start and burn the boats to ensure success.
