Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Electronics Technician
Swing Shift (Typically 2:30 PM to 12:00 AM)
Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of clinical and commercial products. Operates electrical and mechanical test equipment. Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Works on assignments where judgment and initiative is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
Primary Duties- Follow written work instructions and collect all relevant data.
- Works with Engineering/Production to implement design and/or process improvements
- Maintains records that comply with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Consults with customer service, instrument production, etc. as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining parts and materials in service area.
- Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
- 1+ year of applicable technical experience required with troubleshooting and repairing in a related field such as electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, computer, automotive, etc.
- Associates degree in technical discipline and/or related on the job training or certifications
- Experience with soldering, multimeter usage a plus.

- Written Communications - including the ability to communicate technical data in written form
- Technical learning aptitude to quickly understand and acquire new technical knowledge and skills.
- Skilled in MS Office tools to include but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
- Basic: demonstrates fundamental awareness and can perform routine tasks with guidance

The pay range for this role in the state of Utah is $18.60/hr to $27.90/hr this role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMérieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
