Job Description
* Overnight Shifts
$75,000 PER YEAR
GENERALPURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to ensure the Central Production Facility consistently upholds the highest standards of sanitation while preventing cross-contamination in production areas. This position is responsible for leading and overseeing overnight sanitation operations, ensuring the facility is fully prepared for safe, efficient, and compliant food production in alignment with FDA, USDA, OSHA, SQF, and Harmons’ GMP requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Lead the sanitation team during the graveyard shift to ensure thorough cleaning of the Central Production Facility
- Develop, maintain, and align the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) with production timelines
- Ensure sanitation practices comply with FDA, USDA, OSHA, SQF and Harmons GMPs
- Oversee preparation and proper mixing of cleaning chemicals for both graveyard and daytime sanitation teams
- Assist Quality Control with swab collection and ATP testing before daily production begins
- Partner with Quality Control and Operations to support cross-functional initiatives
- Communicate equipment malfunctions or concerns to leadership promptly
- Serve as point of contact for third‑party audits and regulatory inspections
- Maintain and audit documentation of sanitation activities, validations, and corrective actions
- Work with the Central Food Production Director and Director of Food Safety to create ongoing training programs on SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), chemical handling, and food safety
- Provide hands‑on training and mentoring for new sanitation associates
- Model safe, efficient, and compliant sanitation practices for the team
- Oversee sanitation department costs, including labor, and chemicals
- Analyze sanitation data to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Lead initiatives to reduce downtime and mitigate cross‑contamination risks
- Ensure chemicals are mixed and ready for daytime sanitation team
- Hold PCQI certification as a leader in Harmons Central Production Facility
- Assists as needed to ensure the success of the facility as a whole

QUALIFICATIONS:

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:A high school diploma or GED required; 3 years of sanitation leadership experience in a food production, manufacturing, or similar environment or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- PCQI Certification
- Technical training or certifications in sanitation or food safety preferred
- Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, OSHA, SQF, and GMP requirements
- Familiarity with sanitation chemicals and SSOPs
- Experience in sanitation management within a food production environment
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures
- Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team
- Required to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized analytical skills and techniques
