Role Description The Retail Sales Consultant is a part-time, on-site role based in Utah, United States. This role involves engaging with customers in retail settings, explaining Cornaby’s product features and uses, and offering samples or demonstrations to encourage trial and purchase. The consultant will answer product and ingredient questions, provide guidance on cooking and food preservation applications, and ensure shelves and displays are stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
Day-to-day responsibilities include processing sales transactions, tracking basic inventory needs, setting up promotional materials, and sharing customer feedback with the team. The role may also support in-store events, tastings, and collaborations with retail partners to strengthen brand presence and drive sales.
Qualifications
- Customer service and sales skills, including the ability to engage shoppers, identify needs, and confidently recommend products.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain product benefits clearly and build positive relationships with customers and store staff.
- Basic food knowledge and interest in cooking, food preservation, or specialty foods to discuss product uses accurately.
- Ability to manage merchandising tasks, such as stocking, organizing displays, and maintaining a clean, inviting product area.
- Comfort with point-of-sale processes, handling cash or card transactions, and following store procedures.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work on-site in Utah with a flexible part-time schedule, including weekends or peak hours as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior retail, grocery, or food industry experience is beneficial.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move products and display materials as required.
