Retail Manager – General Gritts Snowbird Center Year-Round, Full-Time, Salary Varies
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule based on business needs.
SUMMARYAs the Retail Manager of General Gritts, you’ll lead daily operations for a dynamic, high-traffic store that includes a deli, grocery, liquor, and retail space. You’ll manage a diverse team, drive sales, maintain high standards for service and cleanliness, and ensure smooth, efficient operations across all departments.
WHAT YOU’LL DO- Lead and support a team of up to 20 employees, including cashiers and deli staff.
- Hire, train, schedule, and coach team members to deliver excellent service.
- Oversee store operations including inventory, ordering, merchandising, and cleanliness across all departments.
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized environment for guests and employees.
- Monitor and manage labor, food, and supply costs to meet budget goals.
- Conduct and support regular inventory counts and ordering processes.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol handling, and company policies.
- Work floor shifts regularly, balancing leadership responsibilities with hands‑on customer service.
- Collaborate with other managers to optimize product mix, promotions, and guest experience.
- Uphold Snowbird’s standards for professionalism, appearance, and guest interaction.
- 2–4 years of experience in retail, grocery, or food service management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Experience with inventory, ordering, and scheduling.
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment, including meat slicers and other appliances.
- Familiarity with or ability to learn Yellow Dog (inventory management), Coupa (procurement), Square (point of sale), Mashgin (self serve point of sale), Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage sensitive guest information in compliance with company policies.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Schedule varies and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
WORKING CONDITIONSMust be prepared to stay overnight during road closures. May experience high guest volumes, tight deadlines, winter weather, and frequent interruptions. Frequent standing, lifting, and multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
