Job Description & How to Apply Below

Lola Blankets is a luxury faux-fur blanket brand turning an overlooked home good into a fashion statement. Our blankets, throws, and pillows are known for exceptional softness, lasting quality, and machine washability, and our brand is known for doing things differently: editorial, fashion-forward, and unapologetically premium in a category that plays it safe. The brand honors Amy "Lola" Higham and the comfort a blanket brought her through breast cancer treatment, and that story shapes how we treat every person who walks through our door.

Now we're opening our first retail store in Utah, and we're looking for the person who will bring Lola to life in the physical world.

About the Role

As Store Manager, you lead the retail sales team by example: forging connections with customers, communicating Lola's values through insightful product knowledge, and bringing a warm, confident presence to the floor every day. You'll encourage and coach the team, an Assistant Store Manager, Keyholders, and Sales Associates, on how to maintain Lola's standards in retail sales and customer experience. This is a founding role at our first store, and the standards you set will shape every Lola store that comes after it.

What

You'll Get to Do Create an Unforgettable Customer Experience
  • Work with the sales team to ensure each customer receives the best experience possible
  • Take ownership of the sales floor and sales team so customer experience is always the first priority
  • Get the product into customers' hands; our blankets are meant to be felt, and provide honest, knowledgeable feedback on fabrics, collections, and styling for the home
  • Forge lasting relationships with customers by contacting them to follow up on purchases, new product, and replenishment, and inviting them to upcoming events
  • Be knowledgeable on what's new and what's selling well, and share it with both the customer and team
Be the Business
  • Motivate the sales team and achieve store sales goals
  • Seek new product knowledge in the broader fashion and home landscape to serve as an expert for the customer
  • Lead the team in the completion of projects while keeping the focus on customer experience
  • Communicate inventory needs to support the business goal
Leadership & Ownership
  • Lead the processing of all product shipments, as well as inventory management
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop the store team of Keyholders and Associates alongside the Assistant Store Manager
  • Partner with HQ on daily maintenance, sales strategy, community, and team management to ensure the business runs smoothly and successfully
  • Lead the team in daily maintenance of the store, including restocking product, maintaining visual merchandising to Lola's editorial standard, re-ticketing, and cleaning
  • Utilize the utmost responsibility, attention to protocol, and safety standards in opening and closing the store daily
  • Encourage employees to give 100% and adhere to punctuality and role responsibilities at all times
Qualifications
  • Available morning and/or evening, work 8 hours, 5 days/week, including 1 weekend shift.
  • Must be a leader in punctuality and attendance, adhering to scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to develop relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • A customer service expert, creates experiences and develops relationships with customers, embraces the social aspect of sales and the ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and follow through skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of ownership, accountability and initiative.
  • Eager to develop new skills and responsive to feedback.
What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary and annual bonus based on company and individual performance
  • 16 weeks paid birth parent leave; 8 weeks non-birth parent leave
  • 55% off Lola Blankets for friends and family
  • Opportunities for career growth within Lola Blankets
