Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy construction equipment. Approximately 70% of the work will be performed in the field from a fully equipped service truck.
Equipment Worked On- Liebherr Excavators
- Liebherr Front End Loaders
- Caterpillar Skid Steers
- Caterpillar Front End Loaders
- Forklifts
- Telehandlers
- Tippers
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including lights, relays, ECMs, and electronic components
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems including pumps, valve bodies, electric slave cylinders, high‑pressure oil systems, lines, and fittings
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Respond to field service calls using a company provided service truck
- Complete service documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with electrical and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Must supply your own tools
- Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred but not required)
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow
- CDL certification
- Experience with mobile field service operations
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
