Heavy Equipment Mechanic; Experienced

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy construction equipment. Approximately 70% of the work will be performed in the field from a fully equipped service truck.

• Telehandlers
• Tippers

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including lights, relays, ECMs, and electronic components
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems including pumps, valve bodies, electric slave cylinders, high‑pressure oil systems, lines, and fittings
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Respond to field service calls using a company provided service truck
• Complete service documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

• Experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with electrical and hydraulic systems
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Must supply your own tools
• Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred but not required)
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow

• CDL certification
• Experience with mobile field service operations
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
