Installation Technician
Job Description
Auto Glass Technicians will replace broken or pitted windshields and window glass in motor vehicles. They work in-shop or on a mobile basis to deliver efficient, timely, and quality installation service for Glass America customers.
Responsibilities- Install auto glass and other auto glass products in-shop or on a mobile basis.
- Use proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service.
- Complete and submit required paperwork to the appropriate person or location.
- Maintain a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
- Perform auto glass repairs as needed.
- Load glass into the truck as required.
- Immediately follow up with the Glass Manager on any problems that arise during installation.
- Maintain high levels of quality control.
- Provide excellence in customer service.
- Ensure all equipment is operating properly.
- Immediately report any accident or incident to the Glass Manager.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Maintain a good rapport with supervisors and co‑workers.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 4–6years of related work experience required.
- Position requires no supervision of staff.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Be at least 18years of age.
- Stand for long periods during installation of glass.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as necessary.
- Use hands efficiently in handling glass.
- Lift up to 50pounds.
- Have mechanical aptitude and skill to operate hand and power tools and equipment.
