Construction Labor & Trades, Building Maintenance, Maintenance Worker
$18–$28
Tear off stucco, EIFS, Hardie, and siding. Controlled demo that protects what stays while removing what goes. Strong backs, careful hands, and zero shortcuts.
Demo and removal at Christensen Stucco is controlled demolition — removing exterior systems without damaging the building envelope underneath. Every section removed tells a story about what went wrong.
7:00 AM
Safety Briefing
Dallas walks every demo job before tools come out. What's coming off, what's staying, what to watch for inside the walls. Safety glasses, gloves, and dust masks are mandatory.
7:30 AM
Protect What Stays
Mask windows and doors, lay ground cloths, protect landscaping. Demo creates a mess — Dallas expects the crew to contain it.
8:00 AM
Controlled Tear-Off
Remove stucco or EIFS in sections. Controlled cuts that minimize damage to the building paper and sheathing underneath. The goal is to expose the problem — not create new ones.
10:00 AM
Sheathing Assessment
As each section comes off, Dallas inspects the sheathing and framing. Every soft spot, every area of moisture damage gets marked. You learn to read the signs.
1:00 PM
Debris Removal
Load debris into the truck for disposal. Dallas keeps a clean job site — debris off the ground, paths clear, materials sorted. Homeowners notice.
3:00 PM
Final Inspection
Dallas walks the demo with the homeowner and explains what was found. Photos of all damage before any repair work begins. Transparency is how Dallas builds trust.
What We're Looking ForDallas Hires for Character First. Skills Second.
Demo work is entry-accessible but physically demanding. Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn are the most important qualities.
Physical FitnessDemo is hard physical work — swinging tools, carrying debris, working in all conditions. You need to be able to keep up.
Willingness to LearnDallas teaches as he works. If you pay attention on demo jobs you learn more about building construction than most people ever do.
Careful with What StaysUncontrolled demo damages windows, doors, and framing. You need to be able to be aggressive where it's needed and careful where it isn't.
PunctualityDemo crews start early. Dallas values reliability above almost everything else.
Construction InterestDemo is a great entry point into the trade. If you're genuinely interested in learning construction — this is where it starts.

Learn From a Master50 years of stucco knowledge. Most crews never get this kind of training.
Real Crew — No SubsYou're a Christensen crew member — not a day laborer. That's a different thing.
Quality Work You're Proud OfDallas doesn't cut corners. You'll build things that last 40 years and know it.
Direct Access to DallasNo HR department. No middle management. You work directly with the owner.
From DallasDemo crew is where a lot of guys start with me. It's physical work, but if you pay attention you learn more about how buildings are built — and how they fail — than you could learn in a classroom. I've hired full-time stucco applicators who started on my demo crew. It's a real path.
